Jethro’s Fine Grub

Ok so I went to this restaurant in Vancouver for brunch a while back, really excited to eat some pancakes! All I could say when I had a look at the pancakes they were serving was, “wow these things are huge!”. These things were literally the size of two medium pizzas and about an inch thick. I knew right away that I wouldn’t be able to finish the whole thing so before ordering I asked if I could get a half order. Unfortunately they said no so I ended up ordering the full order. I ordered Grandmas Pancakes with cinnamon apples baked into the buttermilk batter. They were so good!!!!!!! BUT! I wasn’t even close to finishing half. I barely finished a quarter of it. That’s ok though because you can get it packed up at the end and they give you instructions on how to re-heat it in the oven for later. I did this and they tasted just as good as they did when I ordered them. I highly recommend this restaurant. They don’t only serve breakfast. Check out their menu in the link below.

Has anyone else ever been to this restaurant? Has anyone been able to finish these pancakes? Leave a comment and tell me your experience.

I challenge someone to order these pancakes and finish the whole thing! Let me know if you are up for the challenge and I will come up with a prize.

My apologies for the late update. I got caught up with a bunch of things but I’m back!

So what have I been up to lately? Well for one I’ve been trying to keep up with my fitness goals and weight training. I have set some new goals and I’m working hard to achieve them. My fitness blog has also been going well and it is allowing me to track my progress and help inform others about healthy lifestyles.

As for my food adventures, I have been able to try out a bunch of new restaurants, one one of them being Sushi Oyama.

Sushi Oyama

This was a really cool sushi restaurant located in Burnaby. The building looks like a big house that they turned into a restaurant. I definitely liked the look and feel of the restaurant. It felt very comforting.. you could almost say it felt like being in your own home. =P
As for the food, it was very good! Prices were very fair and the portions were big. I am looking forward to the next time I go back to visit! Here are some pictures of the food.

Today I came across this really cool motorcycle/car drifting video. The video editing and camera work is awesome. What do you guys think? Any other good videos you’ve seen you would like to share?

UPDATE: Happy 2012!! and New Fitness Blog!

Happy New Year!!!! It has been a while since I have updated my blog. The holidays made me very busy, and I’ve also been working on a new blog. Fitness and working out are other hobbies of mine, so I decided to create a blog where I could track my progress and keep a history of all my exercises. I also hope to reach out to people and provide them with information and as much motivation as possible to stay fit and be happy. The name of my blog is MUSCLE POP (click on name for link). Go check it out!

Aside from my blog, my holidays were great. Lots of shopping for presents and received lots of presents. Some of the things I received were clothes and an interval timer which I have already been using and will use a lot more. I have been taking some photos as well. Please visit my photography blog here to check those photographs out.

I will be going for breakfast with a friend to a waffle restaurant in Kits this weekend. I’m pretty excited! I will update you guys on how that went and hopefully some photos to make you drool!

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!"

Fun in the Fall

Here are a few photos from a quick photo shoot I did with Courtney and Cassidy in Steveston today. It turned out to be a sunny day but very windy and cold.

I really enjoy the Fall colors. If I find some more time I will try and take more Fall photographs.
